This got me thinking about emulation and how it has evolved over the years.

As a child, I used to run DOS programs, including Turbo Pascal, thanks to PC Ditto, or even run MacOS with Aladin. It was exciting to experiment with various emulators on ST's, testing different versions of TOS (1.04, 1.06, 1.62, etc.), EmuTOS, and MultiTOS/MiNT.

One of the most fascinating aspects of Hatari is its ability to emulate a range of configurations, including processors from Motorola 68000 up to 68040, running at speeds between 8MHz and 32MHz with or without FPU. This means it can simulate various Atari ST models, such as the 520/1040 STs, STEs, Mega ST/STEs, TTs, or Falcons.

In my experience, Hatari worked remarkably well, although the mouse pointer sometimes exhibited some glitches. To replicate my childhood setup, I configured Hatari to emulate a Motorola 68000 8MHz microprocessor with 1024KB of RAM, a 640x400 monochrome display, and a ROM with TOS 1.04.
